Vintage treasures at The Brocante Market

Ahoy you retro freaks, its that time again.  The only market catering for the desires of the vintage design tribal junkie, so please leave your worries on board and drop anchor in at the Brocante.  The Brocante is where you will find lots of vintage furniture and collectibles with a wide range of other eclectic interior designs.
The Brocante retro furniture market in New Market Sqre Dublin 8 this Sunday the 17th July 2011.  Exihibitors on the day will be made up from Original Compulsive Design, Mullhall Antiques, Mid20c, KirkModern, Retrorumage, Andrew, Table Lighting Chair and lots more stalls offering you a great mix of vintage goodies.  Lots of free parking, great food and great coffee, so treat yourself

The Original Compulsive Brocante Market

The Original Compulsive Brocante Furniture Market is back this Sunday the 15th May, all usual suspects will be on show such as Mid20C, Sibyl Vayne Antiques, Retrorumage, Original Compulsive Design, Kirkmodern and many other individuals exhibiting their one off  unique items of desire.  Lots of beautiful pieces on view and some great bargains to be had at The Brocante furniture Market, Newmarket Square, Dublin 8.  If you are craving some retro or vintage and you need a fix,  please get yourself and your tribe to this great gem of a market, their is free parking available, so no stress involved trying to find a space and to make the day even better, their is some wonderful fresh Italian food and some great great coffee to have from Ashling and Luca, if you get the chance to attend you will not be disapointed and if you do get their please say hello.

1970's Eames soft pad chair

 

Just sitting here in my Vintage Design Shop in Kilkenny enjoying the sunshine.. This is a Vintage 1970s Eames EA214 soft pad lounge chair on a rare 4 star base, lovely leather and in great condition, its four point Eames universal base characteristic of the first phase of production of these chairs, and white nylon glides, which are also true to that time period. I recently sold this stunning Eames chair and I am very happy with the sale. Just to let you know, I will be bringing a Danish Bucket chair with me to the Brocante Market on the 17th of April. Lets just get dust ourselves down and get ourselves together, relax, take a very big deep breath and enjoy the goodies on show.  You guessed it, its vintage Brocatne time again.  So strap in tight, brace yourself as the ride is about to start and let yourself space off into Vintage design furniture mode and get your yourself to the Mid -Century capital of our beautiful Dublin City for the Brocante Furniture Market this Sunday 20th March 2011.

Some of the traders on show , such as Andy Vayne's Eclectic Vintage, Richard Harte's Cool Retro, Geoff's Kirk Modern, Pauls Retrorumage, Robbie and Eofie from TLC, Andrew from Mid Century classics and myself from Original Compulsive Design will be tugging and throwing, so come on down and get yourself something really nice for your beautiful soul.

Lots of one off pieces to enhance your home/ interior, underated G-plan, stylish Eames, getting harder find rocket lamps (Hi Geoff) and groovey Dansette record players, plus funky sideboards and lots of other great nick nacks from the generous participants, traders and sellers at this great innovative Vintage Furniture Market.
